It has taken awhile but Bentley House is looking good and open to the public for tours. Located on the corner of Newport Way and Pine Cone Drive. Issaquah, WA 98027
The condominiums supports a luxurious life style. Would you like to have concierge service to park your car, a Theater, a Billiard’s Room, full Gymnasium, even a Spa with shower and steam?
That isn’t all. There is a Business Center and a place to store your boat or RV. Another exciting feature is the Roof Lanai.
As per Jon Skipworth, Bentley House is open for tours, week days until 7pm, weekends 10am to 2:30pm.

All year long as I drove along West Lake Sam, I noticed a very different house going up. I used to live across the street so I know the neighborhood well. Eventually, a large sign went up with a picture of the completed house and some info. It was called Zero Energy Idea House. It is now completed, I was hoping that there would be tours and those tours are now happening. A van will take you to the house from Vasa Park. 3560 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE. Bellevue. The house is at Bass Cove. A van is no longer available. The house is a 804 W Lk. Sammamish Pkwy, Bellevue, WA 98008. Call 425-427-1300 for more info.
Tours are Saturdays and Sundays Oct 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, and Nov1, 7, & 8 10 AM to 4 PM

Notice the vegetation on the roof and the helixwind and solar panels. The vegetated roof helps keep the home cool in the summer and warm in the winter and also reduces storm water runoff. The house is built of SIPS, structural insulated panels. It is fast and there is no waste.
The home has in floor radiant heat, unusual cabinetry and glass features. The garage is full of information and samples on all the products used. The appliances are Miele, my favorite was a steamer oven where you could steam 3 different foods at a time.

The powder room has a Glassworks sink and counter made from recycled glass that is to die for.
There is a very informative website on all the products and how it was built: www.zeroenergyideahouse.com

The Contrator was Shirey Contracting Inc www.shireycontracting.com (in Issaquah)

This beautiful shot is from our home in Issaquah.

By the way, we were showing homes the last couple of days and many sellers are pricing their homes higher than their competition. Selling your home is a game of competition. A serious game if you are a serious seller.
I was asked on the P I blog I write for what makes home prices go up. The answer was simple – multiple offers.
The same goes for going down, multiple options. Our buyers had multiple options on similar properties. They were looking in a certain price range for a home with a swimming pool. The first home they thought they were interested in was soon devalued by $75,000.00. What caused the devalue? The home we went to 2 houses later. The fact they had more than one great option placed the owner of the first home in jeopardy of selling their house to our buyer. That home had been on the market for 280 days, so they obviously had a problem.
We are in a buyers market. Not enough listing agents are receiving offers on their listings. Buyers agents have clients that are in control.
To sell your home and not list your home so it is clearly the best value in its competitive market is asking to just list your home and watch it sit. Sorry for the bad news sellers – welcome to the good news buyers.
